The FA has got an exciting new coaching opportunity that they feel you’d be perfect for!
It’s with their SSE Wildcats programme and involves becoming an organiser and operator of an approved SSE Wildcats centre to provide football opportunities for girls aged 5-11 years.
Moving into its second full year, SSE Wildcats now has over 800 centres nationwide that provide weekly after-school or weekend sessions to more than 17,000 girls – many of whom will be playing the game for the first time.
These centres provide a safe environment where girls can have fun engaging with sport, make new friends, develop fundamental skills and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport. Sounds good right!
The FA think so – and what’s more, all SSE Wildcats centres receive funding as well as kit and equipment; ensuring you have everything you need to run your sessions. You’ll also receive free induction training to help you understand how to coach a complete newcomer female player.
This is a great opportunity to inspire future generations and make a difference to young girls looking for their football opportunity.
The registration portal for new organisations to apply is open until Thursday 4 December. For any questions about becoming an SSE Wildcats centre, please contact your local County FA.
